Shares of Intel Corp (NASDAQ:INTC, XETRA:INL), Advanced Micro Devices Inc (NASDAQ:AMD, XETRA:AMD) and other hardware companies surged on Monday amid strong investor demand for artificial intelligence (AI) stocks.
Arm Holdings' US-listed shares were up 14% in morning trading, while Intel climbed over 12%.
Arm, AMD and Intel all make central processing units used in AI servers.
The CPU market has gained momentum in recent months, driven partly by the proliferation of AI agents, services capable of acting autonomously on behalf of users.
AMD's market capitalization surpassed $1 trillion for the first time in intraday trading.
Shares of the chipmaker were also boosted by a supply-chain report indicating that AMD had notified partners of a 10% price increase planned for the fourth quarter.
The increase is tied to higher wafer costs at AMD's foundry partner.
Channel partners were told to expect the 10% increase starting in the fourth quarter, spanning AI accelerator chips, consumer graphics processors and motherboard chipsets.
Intel and AMD shares also gained as falling crude prices and lower Treasury yields improved broader market sentiment.
The moves gave another lift to AI-related stocks following last week's sharp selloff.
The rally underscores investors' continued willingness to bet heavily on companies positioned to benefit from AI infrastructure spending, even after recent volatility in the sector.
