Binance is giving Ripple USD holders another four weeks to earn XRP, extending a rewards program that links Ripple's stablecoin directly with its native ecosystem token.

The exchange's new airdrop campaign runs from Aug. 14 through Sept. 11, with eligible users sharing a pool of 1 million XRP. Rewards will be distributed weekly, with payouts scheduled for Aug. 21, Aug. 28, Sept. 4 and Sept. 11.

The extension follows Binance's first RLUSD campaign, which ran from July 17 to Aug. 14 and distributed $800,000 worth of XRP across four weekly installments.

Who Can Earn the XRP?

Simply holding RLUSD in a Binance spot wallet is not enough.

Users need at least 0.01 RLUSD in eligible Earn or Margin accounts and must record an average of at least $500 in daily Margin or Futures trading volume. RLUSD can be held in Flexible Savings or used as collateral across supported Margin products.

Rewards depend partly on a user's average qualifying RLUSD balance, while Binance calculates a new effective APR for each weekly distribution.

The previous campaign shows how quickly that yield can change. Its effective APR started at 22.25% on July 24, before falling to 8.22%, 8.08% and finally 7.69% on Aug. 14 as qualifying balances changed.

Binance listed RLUSD in January, giving Ripple's dollar-backed stablecoin access to one of crypto's largest trading venues. Ripple said earlier this year that RLUSD had already passed $1.5 billion in market capitalization.

Could the Rewards Push XRP Price Higher?

XRP was trading around $1.06 at the time of writing, putting the new 1 million XRP pool at roughly $1.06 million.

The campaign creates recurring XRP distributions and gives RLUSD holders another reason to gain exposure to the token. It also links RLUSD adoption more closely with XRP on Binance.

But there is no indication Binance must purchase the entire reward pool on the open market, so the promotion should not automatically be treated as 1 million XRP of new buying pressure.

The previous campaign also failed to produce a clear price boost. Binance valued XRP at $1.1077 for the first July distribution and $1.0094 for the final Aug. 14 payout, showing that XRP fell even while weekly rewards were being distributed.

The stronger effect may therefore be on RLUSD usage and XRP exposure, rather than an immediate XRP price rally.
