American Rare Earths Ltd (ASX:ARR, OTCQX:ARRNF) has appointed Nick Lissolo as chief commercial officer (CCO), expanding his responsibilities across the company's Nasdaq listing plans, US investor relations, commercial partnerships and development of the Halleck Creek Rare Earths Project in Wyoming.
Lissolo, who joined American Rare Earths in March 2026 as vice president of corporate development and strategy, has been promoted to the senior executive team with immediate effect as the company moves Halleck Creek from evaluation toward development.
Expanded US commercial mandate
In the new role, Lissolo will oversee the US components of American Rare Earths' proposed Nasdaq listing pathway, working with the company's chief financial officer and legal advisers on listing structure and readiness.
He will also lead negotiations around commercial partnerships supporting the company's proposed US mine-to-magnet strategy for rare earth oxide and neodymium-praseodymium (NdPr) magnet feed from Halleck Creek.
Other responsibilities include leading US investor relations and engagement with the State of Wyoming and other stakeholders involved in permitting, land access and community support for the project.
Lissolo will continue to lead American Rare Earths' Whole of Property Development Assessment, which is examining the broader Halleck Creek land package beyond the planned Cowboy State Mine.
The assessment includes potential development opportunities across State and Federal land within the wider Halleck Creek project area.
Mining and finance background
Lissolo brings 17 years of experience in mining finance, project evaluation and capital allocation.
Before joining American Rare Earths, he worked at Newmont Corporation (NYSE:NEM, TSX:NGT, ASX:NEM, XETRA:NMM), most recently as head of evaluation modelling, global, where he led financial modelling and capital allocation analysis across Newmont's portfolio.
His previous roles at Newmont also included director of project evaluation, assistant controller for South America and senior manager of financial reporting and analysis.
During his tenure, he worked on financial models for projects ranging from US$100 million to US$5 billion, supporting investment, divestment and portfolio decisions.
Lissolo is a Wyoming native and graduate of the University of Wyoming, with a Bachelor of Science in Management and a minor in Finance.
American Rare Earths chief executive officer Mark Wall said Lissolo had already become an important member of the company's senior leadership team and that his expanded role reflected the company's focus on its Nasdaq process, US partnerships and evaluation of the broader Halleck Creek landholding.
Lissolo said his priorities would include advancing the Nasdaq process, building partnerships to support a domestic mine-to-magnet supply chain and deepening relationships with Wyoming stakeholders and US investors.
The company said there were no additional material terms attached to the appointment outside ordinary executive arrangements.
