Kalshi To Build High-Speed Data Feed

Kalshi is reportedly building a high-speed data feed for its prediction market.

Media reports say Kalshi is aiming to create a Wall-Street style system in digital asset markets, such as servers that offer split-second advantages when executing trades.

Kalshi is responding to demand from investors and gamblers by adding DoubleZero's low-latency market data feed to its prediction market order book.

The DoubleZero Foundation will provide Kalshi with a machine-readable view of a prediction market for pricing, hedging, and signal generation.

Prediction markets enable people to bet on real-world events ranging from sports and elections to the weather and which songs will hit number one on the music charts.

DoubleZero Edge is described as a transport layer, sending live exchange and onchain data over dedicated fiber and distributing it simultaneously to all connected traders and investors.

In traditional finance, institutions use specialized networks to access data at high speed, whereas in crypto, traders still largely rely on the internet.

DoubleZero attempts to rectify that gap with an extremely fast onchain system.

Kalshi reportedly plans to use the DoubleZero system to provide quick access to market moving data and macroeconomic releases such as interest rate announcements and inflation reports.

Such data and announcements have the ability to cause significant price movements within milliseconds of their release, hence the demand for a Kalshi feed built into onchain data.

Kalshi, which is one of the world's two largest prediction markets, will place its most actively traded contracts on the new system at rollout, including crypto perpetual futures.

As a privately held company, Kalshi's stock does not trade on a public exchange.
