Seattle, Washington-based Expedia Group, Inc. (EXPE) operates as an online travel company in the United States and internationally. The company has a market cap of $33.5 billion and operates through B2C, B2B, and trivago segments, and operates Brand Expedia, a full-service online travel brand that offers various travel products and services, Hotels.com for lodging accommodations, Vrbo, an online marketplace for alternative accommodations, and more.

Companies with a market cap of $10 billion or more are typically called "large-cap stocks." EXPE fits squarely into that category, with a market cap above this threshold that reflects its substantial size and influence in the travel services industry.

However, the stock currently trades 17.8% below its 52-week high of $342 recorded on Aug. 26. EXPE has grown 16.7% over the past three months, outperforming the State Street Consumer Discretionary Select Sector SPDR ETF's (XLY) 4.2% decline during the same time frame.

In the longer term, EXPE has delivered a similar performance. The stock has surged 26.3% over the past 52 weeks, also surpassing the 7% fall of XLY over the same period. EXPE has been trading above its 200-day moving average since June and below its 50-day moving average since this month.

On Aug. 4, EXPE stock rose 2.4% following the release of its Q2 2026 earnings. The company's revenue for the quarter rose 14% from the prior year's quarter to $4.3 billion and surpassed the Street's estimates. Moreover, its adjusted EPS came in at $5.76, also topping the consensus estimates. Additionally, its operating margin amounted to 18.5%, up from 12.8% in the year-ago quarter, indicating higher profitability. The company expects full-year revenue in the range of $16.05 billion to $16.22 billion.

When stacked against its rival, Viking Holdings Ltd (VIK) has grown 38.3% over the past year, outpacing EXPE.

Wall Street has a moderately bullish view of the stock currently. Among the 36 analysts tracking EXPE, the overall consensus stands at a "Moderate Buy." Its mean price target of $331.78 offers an 18.1% upside potential from current prices.
