Tech stocks rise, Bitcoin rallied as Treasury yields ease: AlphaCheck

Good morning. Tech stocks rose on Monday as oil prices fell and yields on long-dated bonds dropped.

Brent crude futures (BZ=F) fell to $100 per barrel, easing concerns about persistent inflation. The 10-year Treasury (^TNX) fell to 4.95% after breaching the 5% threshold last week.

Here's a check of the markets in the first few minutes of trading, based on a heat map powered by Yahoo Finance AlphaSpace data.

Tech stocks (XLK) rallied, with AI chip giants Intel (INTC) and AMD (AMD) also leading the sector higher. Meanwhile, social media platform Meta (META) rallied more than 5%, and EV maker Tesla (TSLA) gained.

Bitcoin (BTC-USD) rallied more than 5% to above $85,000 while ether (ETH-USD) also gained about 5%. The crypto rally came as falling oil prices eased inflation concerns and investors showed renewed interest in digital assets.
