Crypto-linked equities are trading higher Monday morning as Ethereum (CRYPTO:ETH) extends a rally after a Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) order opened a regulated pathway for tokenized U.S. stocks. Ethereum is at $2,727.39, up 5.7% over the trailing 24 hours.

The bid sits inside the crypto complex rather than the wider tape. The SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust (NYSEARCA:SPY) is at $767.14, up 0.7%, while every crypto-linked equity in this note is climbing by several percent. Notably, the iShares Ethereum Trust ETF (NASDAQ:ETHA) is up 3.3% to $20.57 Monday morning.

Bitmine Immersion Technologies (NYSE:BMNR) stock is at $27.42, up 6%, giving the largest publicly traded Ethereum treasury the most direct read-through in this group. Also gaining, SharpLink (NASDAQ:SBET) shares are at $9.80, up 5%, tracking the coin as a second Ethereum-treasury proxy. Meanwhile, Coinbase Global (NASDAQ:COIN) stock is at $205.12, up 6%, catching a separate bid from the tokenization rulebook itself.

What the SEC Order Actually Does

According to CNBC, the SEC issued the order on September 17 as a five-year exemption rather than a formal rulemaking, creating a regulated pathway for certain trading venues to issue tokenized representations of publicly traded U.S. stocks effective immediately. The exemption sits inside the agency's broader push to bring U.S. financial market plumbing onchain.

The order concerns tokenized U.S. stocks and names no blockchain, so the read-through to Ethereum is the market's interpretation rather than anything the order states. Traders are treating a sanctioned onchain path for equities as future demand for public settlement infrastructure, and Ethereum is where most of that infrastructure currently sits.

Bitmine's Leverage to the Coin

Bitmine is an Ethereum treasury company, and a higher Ethereum price boosts the asset's value on Bitmine's balance sheet without Bitmine doing anything at all. That's the cleanest bull case for Bitmine stock on a session like this one, when the coin catches a fresh bid.

The complication for Bitmine is that the catalyst is a stock-tokenization order that says nothing about Ethereum. That link from the news to Bitmine's balance sheet runs through a market expectation rather than through a stated fact, which is a thinner rope than a direct company development.

Coinbase Sits Closest to the Rulebook

Coinbase operates a trading venue and already runs tokenized equity offerings outside the United States, which puts Coinbase closer to the order's practical mechanics than any other name in this note. That makes Coinbase stock the cleanest way to own the tokenization thesis rather than the Ethereum price alone.

The catch for Coinbase is that the exemption carries conditions and volume limits, and durable rulemaking has yet to follow. How much of today's rally in Coinbase stock locks in depends on those conditions and on any U.S. onshore rollout Coinbase pursues under them.

What to Watch Next
