Alluvium Asset Management, an asset management company, released its "Conventum – Alluvium Global Fund" second-quarter 2026 investor letter. The letter can be downloaded here. The second quarter reflected a sharp shift from geopolitical uncertainty and oil market volatility to a powerful equity rally led by semiconductor companies. Despite the broader market strength, the Fund declined 1.4% in EUR terms, 2.2% in USD terms, and 3.9% in AUD terms. Portfolio results were mixed, with Alphabet benefiting from strong Cloud growth, while Robert Half, H&R Block and other holdings posted solid gains. In its second-quarter 2026 investor letter, Conventum – Alluvium Global Fund highlighted Group 1 Automotive, Inc. (NYSE:GPI). Group 1 Automotive, Inc. (NYSE:GPI) is a US-based automotive retail company that sells new and used cars and light trucks through its dealerships and digital platform. On September 16, 2026, Group 1 Automotive, Inc. (NYSE:GPI) closed at $262.22 per share. Over the past month Group 1 Automotive, Inc. (NYSE:GPI) declined 0.61% and its shares lost 43.11% over the past 52 weeks. Group 1 Automotive, Inc. (NYSE:GPI) has a market capitalization of $3.12 billion with a 52-week trading range between $249.54 and $467.95.

Conventum – Alluvium Global Fund stated the following regarding Group 1 Automotive, Inc. (NYSE:GPI) in its Q2 2026 investor letter:

"Group 1 Automotive, Inc. (NYSE:GPI), (down 11.8%) reported results without too many surprises, however servicing and parts revenue was affected in the US by poor weather. It also announced significant job cuts (nearly 700) across its US operations. We spoke of our concerns with this business (misjudged UK acquisition, high debt level) last quarter, and we started to implement a complete divestment. We only achieved the sale of a small portion before the share price fell to an unacceptable level. It accounts for 2.3% of the Fund."
