With a market cap of $22.4 billion, Church & Dwight Co., Inc. (CHD) is a leading developer, manufacturer, and marketer of household, personal care, and specialty products. Best known as the U.S. leader in sodium bicarbonate production, the company's portfolio includes iconic power brands such as ARM & HAMMER, Trojan, OxiClean, Waterpik, and Vitafusion.

Companies valued at more than $10 billion are generally considered "large-cap" stocks, and Church & Dwight fits this criterion perfectly. Shares of the household and personal products maker have risen 1.8% over the past 52 weeks, underperforming DOWI's 14.4% increase over the same time frame. However, CHD stock is up 12.8% on a YTD basis, outpacing DOWI's 9.1% return.

The stock has been trading above its 200-day moving average since January.

Shares of Church & Dwight rose 1.2% on Jul. 31 as Q2 2026 results showed strong underlying demand, with organic sales growth of 5.8% and net sales up 1.3% to $1.53 billion, beating expectations, supported by its portfolio repositioning, household-brand strength and higher marketing investment.

Investor sentiment also improved after CHD raised fiscal 2026 guidance, now expecting flat to 1% net sales growth, 4% - 5% organic sales growth versus 3% - 4% previously, 6% - 8% adjusted EPS growth versus 5% - 8%, and 100 bps - 200 bps of adjusted gross-margin expansion.

In comparison, rival The Clorox Company (CLX) has underperformed CHD stock. CLX stock has dipped 11.4% on a YTD basis and 27.7% over the past 52 weeks.

Despite the stock's outperformance on a YTD basis, analysts are cautiously optimistic about its prospects. CHD stock has a consensus rating of "Moderate Buy" from the 20 analysts in coverage, and the mean price target of $107.21 is a premium of 13.4% to current levels.
