Anthropic is seeking to raise as much as $100 billion in the offering, which would value the artificial intelligence company at around $2 trillion, Reuters said, citing unidentified people familiar with the situation. It is in talks to bring in Nvidia, the largest maker of AI processors, as an anchor investor, the news outlet said.
Anthropic expects to match or beat the size of SpaceX's record-setting IPO, Bloomberg reported in August. Anthropic's target reflects how the AI industry's leaders are transforming the tech investment landscape. The five-year-old company raised $65 billion in May at a $965 billion valuation, surpassing rival OpenAI's valuation of $852 billion in March when the ChatGPT maker raised $122 billion.
Representatives for Nvidia and Anthropic didn't immediately respond to requests for comment from Bloomberg News.
The plans remain under discussion and could change, Reuters said.
