UK-based Azets has completed the integration of East Anglian accountancy and business advisory practice Ensors.

The integration concludes a year after Ensors joined Azets. Over the past year, the businesses completed the integration in stages.

The acquisition gave Azets an entry point into East Anglia and expands its regional presence.

Azets regional managing director David Scrivener said: "Today is an important milestone and the natural next step in our journey with Azets.

"Ensors has been part of East Anglia for more than 130 years and we are enormously proud of the reputation, relationships and expertise that have been built over that time.

"Becoming Azets doesn't change those foundations. Our clients will continue to work with the same people, in the same locations, with the same commitment to high-quality, personal service.

"What has changed over the past year is the breadth of what we can offer. Being part of Azets gives our clients and our people access to greater expertise, investment and opportunities, while retaining the strong local relationships that have always defined our business."

Ensors' six offices in Bury St Edmunds, Cambridge, Huntingdon, Ipswich, Norwich, and Saxmundham now operate under the Azets name.

Azets noted that Ensors clients will continue working with their local teams while gaining access to its specialist services, sector expertise, technology and international resources.

Azets recently picked Simon Prior as its tax director for Devon and Cornwall.
