Broad-Based Strength Lifts GE Aerospace (GE) Performance

Rothschild & Co Asset Management, an investment management company, released its "LongRun Equity Strategy" second-quarter 2026 investor letter. The letter can be downloaded here. The fund focuses on acquiring high-quality franchises for the long term, focusing on companies with strong competitive positions and sustainable business models. The strategy increased 7.6% (in EUR, unhedged) in the second quarter compared to its benchmark, which increased 15.8%. The market rebounded from March lows amid geopolitical tensions, with AI-related stocks gaining traction during negotiation breakdowns. While earnings upgrades have supported the broad index, many businesses outside the AI sector face stagnant revisions. In its second-quarter 2026 investor letter, LongRun Equity Strategy highlighted GE Aerospace (NYSE:GE) as a leading performance contributor. GE Aerospace (NYSE:GE), a division of General Electric Company, designs and produces commercial and defense aircraft engines, integrated engine components, electric power, and aircraft systems. On August 27, 2026, GE Aerospace (NYSE:GE) closed at $342.73 per share, reflecting a market capitalization of $355.60 billion. GE Aerospace (NYSE:GE) posted a one-month return of -4.82%, while its shares gained 24.54% over the past 52 weeks.
LongRun Equity Strategy stated the following regarding GE Aerospace (NYSE:GE) in its Q2 2026 investor letter:
"The top contributors over the quarter were ASML and GE Aerospace (NYSE:GE). GE Aerospace reported an outstanding set of results across all business lines. Commercial Engines & Services grew impressively on the back of strong engine deliveries. Momentum in the Defense business was also positive, with the division now boasting a book-to-bill ratio in excess of 2x."
